are a weigh station for the Buckhorn District Tourist Asscociation.
We are please to say that a young guest, Eli, got the plaque for Biggest
Perch in 2010.
 Bella is
fitting well and loving every moment of being here at Marrick's Landing.

Fall At Marrick's Landing
   
The fall colours have started and the weather is still fantastic!
Beautiful sunny days and cool for sleeping nights with no bugs by the campfire.
We are on the Colours and Crows tour again this year a look forward to
seeing those of you who dropped by. The Thanksgiving weekend hosts
the annual Harvest Craft Show in Buckhorn. In November there is a dinner
theatre at the Buckhorn Community Centre Which runs November 11-13
Call soon for details tickets go fast. November 26 and 27, 2011 is
the Nick of Time Craft Show for all of your Christmas gifts.
Winter in the Kawarthas
  
Winter continues to be
a beautiful season here in the Kawarthas.Activities
in the area include a huge skating rink – on the bay by Owl Cottage, weather
permitting.Also in the area we have over 50 kms of
cross-country ski trails. We can provide a ski pass and hot chocolate for
your outing.Bring your own or we can arrange skis
and boots for you.We can also arrange for cross-country
ski lessons with a qualified instructor.We have
snowshoes that you can borrow to hike the trails or you can walk to the
Burleigh Falls lock on country roads.Mallard and
Blue Heron Cottages now boast personal outdoor hot tubs for your pleasure
in the winter months.Relax in front of the gas fireplace
and listen to your choice of music on the Galaxy satellite stations.If
you are interested in some pampering, we can arrange a day for you at a
nearby spa.
Christmas at Marrick's
Landing is a tradition for some families and a nice change for others.
We add little touches to make your Christmas amazing. Call for more

New
Fishing Regulations 2011
There
are a few changes to our fishing regulations this year. The biggest change
for our guests will be for pickerel/walleye. Opens May 14, 2011 With a
sport licence the limit is now 4 (instead of 6) the fish must be between
35 - 50 cm ( 13.8" - 19.7") conservation licence limit is 1 with the fish
must be between 35 - 50 cm ( 13.8" - 19.7")

Again this year
we are going to be an official Weigh / Recording station for the Buckhorn
District Tourist Association’s Big Fish Contest. Enter your catches
with us and you could win a plaque for the biggest Walleye (Pickerel),
Muskie, Largemouth Bass, Small mouth Bass, Crappie, Perch or Carp.
Fishing is open till November 15th, 2011 Some of the biggest fish
of last year were caught in the Fall. They get hungry right before the
winter.
