Spring and Summer at Marrick's Landing
Spring in the Kawarthas is
beautiful. Be here when the first buds appear on the trees and view
stars like you've never seen in the city. Fishing season opens and
you can catch pickerel (walleye), bass, pan fish or muskie. Our
spring rates are discounted from our summer rates or you can take
advantage of our Spring Mid-Week Special. Visit us
Sunday to Thursday - reserve four or five nights
and stay one night for free!During the warmth of summer,
you can swim at our sandy beach, play horseshoes, badminton,
volleyball or walk
to the Burleigh Falls locks. Every Monday evening we have a bon-fire
for you to roast marshmallows and enjoy a song or two. Enjoy our
Surf Slide – a raft and slide in the swimming area. Or try your
paddle out in our complementary canoes or kayak. Exploring Lovesick
Lake is fun in our paddleboat.
Through Canadian Outdoor
Recreational Experiences (CORE), let us introduce you to the
wonderful world of canoeing and/or kayaking.
Take one of their lessons and you will learn:
- All about your canoe or
kayak and equipment
- Launching and landing
canoes/kayaks
- Paddling strokes and
maneuvers
- Lifts and carries
- Rescue techniques and
safety
If golfing is your passion,
we are close to several golf courses from which to choose.
Enjoy family fun – swim,
boat or fish – Lovesick Lake has it all. Or you can explore the
area. Petroglyphs Provincial Park or Warsaw Caves are great places
to hike. Take a cruise on Stoney Lake or the Lift Lock Cruise in
Peterborough. Visit the Buckhorn Art Festival, Fiesta Buckhorn or
Gallery on the Lake while vacationing here. There is no end to what
you can do in the Kawarthas in the spring and summer!
